Read Across America Week is celebrated from March 2nd to 6th — it begins on the birthday of the beloved author, Dr. Seuss, who many schools are celebrating with a spirited dress-up week. The entire month of March, in fact, is dedicated to reading. This week, we'll be featuring a different PHS student doing a daily read aloud that our schools can share and watch with their students. Social Studies Fair Set-up:
Set-Up is still this evening at the KVFD Community Building from 5-7. If you have a conflict with a basketball game or event, your project can either be dropped off earlier than 5, or make arrangements for another school representative to bring it up for you.

Preston County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18th. All staff will report on a normal schedule and Faculty Senate meetings originally scheduled for today are to be convened before the arrival of students. In addition, setup for the county social studies fair will take place tomorrow from 5-7 PM at the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department.
The calendar is updated with today's inclement weather day. The tentative last day for students is now Tuesday, June 3rd. As always, this is subject to change with any additional days used. Our updated school calendar is available on the PCS Website.
